Cupping Massage is great for releasing trigger points and muscle tension, breaking up scars and adhesions, increasing circulation, breaking up toxins to be eliminated from the body, reduction of cellulite, and so much more.
Cupping is great for those who:
- Have limited range of motion and suffer from poor posture
- Commute often
- Work at a desk all day
- Injury recovery
- Someone who needs deeper massage work, but doesn’t like the discomfort of a deep tissue massage
- Hair stylists and dental hygienists who have back and shoulder issues.
The cups that I use are medical grade silicone and I use them in two different ways:
First, I apply them with suction and glide them across the area that I’m working on to help with increasing blood circulation, which helps aid in healing. This also helps to break up the adhesions and pull on the tissues(like a reverse massage!)
Second, if you have a stubborn trigger point that just won’t budge, we can place the cup directly on top to help release it with ease. Now lets talk about cupping marks. Yes, cupping can leave marks but they aren’t bruises! These marks are normal and are just the old blood and toxins, that get pulled to the surface, away from the tissues to help give room the the injury or adhesion so it may heal and recover. They usually go away after a few days, if you even get any. 🙂 If you would like to see how this is done before you try it, make sure you follow my Instagram because I will be posting some live videos(if I’m brave enough, otherwise regular videos, haha!).
*Cupping may not be the best choice for you if you are on blood thinners, have a heart condition or on areas that have varicose veins.
Facial cupping is great for fine lines!
My 5 year old loves when I practice on him!
First off, I work in the dental industry and I have a lot of neck and back pain. I struggle with tight shoulders, and sharp pains down my neck. I have been seeing Kendall for 5+ years now and she is a master of her work. I drive to Sacramento from the Bay Area for my massages and cupping. The cupping has really been a game changer. I am kind of a baby with massages, and what’s great about the cupping is it’s less aggressive, yet the results are the same, if not better. If you haven’t tried it, give it a chance, you won’t be let down! – Taylor S. – Google Review
